Guidelines

All exhibiting artists are expected to understand and follow these guidelines.

How to Enter:
The CVA's exhibition content is determined by the cutorial staff and NOT by unsolicited submissions. Submissions from exhibiting member artists for scheduled exhibitions are welcome, although we ask that you review the Entry Form and Terms of Agreement prior to submitting your work. Artists submitting work must include a CD containing images of each entry. Images must be 300 dpi jpegs. Appropriate labeling is required, and CDs will be retained by the gallery for promotional and sales purposes.  Watch newsletters and website for exhibition announcements.

Eligibility:
An Exhibiting Artist Membership ($50 annual fee) with the CVA gallery is required in order to be eligible for ANY exhibition in the gallery. Other conditions, such as entry fees, vary depending in the exhibition.

All artwork must be original, completed within the last 24 months, and not have been previously shown in the CVA Gallery. Any work submitted must be available for the show during the entire length of the scheduled exhibit, and the CVA reserves the right to reproduce works for publicity purposes.

Entry fees are due at the time of submission and are non-refundable.

Sales & Commission:
Any art exhibited in the CVA Gallery MUST be for sale and the price clearly indicated. Artists must also provide a valid tax ID# or SSN with works for sale. The CVA charges a 40% commission fee on all sales.

Personal Property:
The CVA is not responsible for personal property or artwork left in our premises and has no liability if such property is lost, stolen or damaged, except in instances when artwork is displayed in a gallery exhibition. The CVA does not have the space to store artwork past scheduled pick-up dates. A late fee of $5.00 per day, for up to 14 days (2 weeks), will apply to work remaining after the scheduled pick up dates. Any artwork left for more than 14 days (2 weeks) after the scheduled pick-up date will become legal property of the CVA.
